Mother nature provided us with clear, although cold days, much to the delight of both exhibitors and spectators who traveled to our venue. Over 5000 attendees passed through our doors and were treated to over 40 breed and rescue booths as well as a eclectic array of vendors offering all varieties of products from original art works to canine and human clothing to kennel supplies and pet foods.
Competition began on Saturday morning with a total of 124 dogs entered in the obedience trial. In addition, our popular Rally classes drew an entry of 39 dogs. Emerging as High in Trial was the Golden retriever, "Tanbark's Tennessee Rose JH", owned by Sari and Ken Manowiecki of Hamburg, NJ with a score of 198 ½ out of a possible 200. |

Sunday featured the all-breed match with a total of 363 entries on deck. As our distinguished panel of judges worked their way through the competition, sorting out the best of each breed and group, the competition intensified enroute to the selection of Best Puppy in Match, Best Adult in Match and the ultimate award, Best In Match. Judge Mr. Larry Terricone selected the Boxer, "Tollgate's Autumn Hunter", owned by Susan Watts. of Upper Black Eddy, PA as his Best Puppy in Match. Judge Ms. Carol S. Brown preferred the Bullmastiff, "Garroways Have Gun Will Travel", owned by Bethany Thursby and Sylvia C. Dasilva of Scranton, PA for the Best Adult in Match award. A difficult decision for Judge Ms. Sharon Lyons to choose between these fine working dogs for her Best in Match. After much deliberation, Ms. Lyons decided that the Boxer was more to her liking on this day.
Hope you can join us!
